Ryō Shinzato ( Japanese 新 里 亮 , Shinzato Ryō ; born July 2, 1990 in Okazaki , Aichi Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Ryō Shinzato learned to play football in the university team of Chukyo University . He signed his first professional contract with Mito Hollyhock in 2013 . The club from Mito , a city in Ibaraki Prefecture on Honshū , the main island of Japan, played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . For Mito, he played 94 second division games. In 2016 he moved to the first division club Ventforet Kofu in Kofu . At the end of 2017, he had to relegate to the second division with the club. After relegation, he left the club and joined the first division club Júbilo Iwata from Iwata in early 2018 . In early 2020 he was loaned to league rivals Gamba Osaka .
