The Misaki Park Stadium ( jap. ノエビアスタジアム神戸, Noebia Sutajiamu Kobe , actually: 御崎公園球技場 , Misaki Kōen Kyūgijō ., Eng Misaki Park Stadium ) is a rugby - and football stadium in the Japanese city of Kobe , Hyogo Prefecture , on the island Honshu .
history
The stadium was built on the occasion of the football World Cup in 2002 and completed in October 2001. The construction costs were 206 million euros. At that time it offered 42,000 places. After the dismantling of the stands behind the gates and a closable roof, it currently offers space for 30,132 spectators.
The stadium is the home of the Japanese football club Vissel Kobe , which plays its home games in the J. League here. The rugby games of the Kobe Steel Kobelco Steelers from the Top League take place regularly in the arena .
Surname
On March 1, 2007, the arena was renamed Home's Stadium Kobe , as the Next (owner of Home's real estate website) namesake . In 2012, the city of Kobe was looking for a new name sponsor. The city-based cosmetics company Noevir was the only interested party and secured the naming rights for three years and an annual sum of 65 million yen . Since March 1, 2013 it has been called Noevir Stadium Kobe .
