The Yamaha Stadium ( Japanese ヤ マ ハ ス タ ジ ア ム , Yamaha Sutajiamu , German "Yamaha Stadium") is a rugby and football stadium in the Japanese city of Iwata , Shizuoka Prefecture . The sports facility is owned by Iwata-based motorcycle and engine manufacturer Yamaha Motor . The facility, which was inaugurated in 1978, is only separated by a car park, in close proximity to the Yamaha factory and is mainly used for football and rugby. The soccer club Júbilo Iwata , currently J3 League, and the rugby club Yamaha Júbilo from the Top League, the highest rugby union league in the country, are located in the Yamaha Stadium.
The four grandstands offer 15,165 seats. The main grandstand and the rear grandstand in the south are covered. The press stand has 84 seats. In total, there is a play area of 111 meters × 74.5 meters. The soccer field corresponds to the international dimensions of 105 meters × 68 meters and consists of natural grass . The area around the field was covered with artificial turf . The floodlight system on four masts in the stadium corners generates an illuminance of 1,500 lux . In the eastern corner of the North Stand of the Yamaha stage, the high-brightness was LED - video wall with a screen size of 5.76 meters x 7.68 meters (378 inches installed).
