Yū Etō ( Japanese 衛 藤 裕 Etō Yū ; born October 17, 1983 in Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Etō learned to play football in the university team of Fukuoka University . He signed his first contract with Sagan Tosu in 2006 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . For the club he completed 104 league games. In 2011 he moved to league rivals Tokushima Vortis . At the end of the 2013 season, the club rose to the J1 League . At the end of the 2014 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. For the club he completed 116 league games. In 2016 he moved to third division club Kataller Toyama . For the club he completed 46 league games. At the end of 2017 he ended his career as a football player.
