Olan Rogers

Olan Rogers (born June 11, 1987 in Nashville , Tennessee ) is an American comedian , voice actor , actor and screenwriter .

Life

Rogers started his career with two friends from Collierville High School and the University of Memphis on YouTube . This comedy trio called themselves BalloonShop and was known for their skits and comedic short films . After Rogers switched to his own YouTube channel, he uploaded his own skits and humorous stories from his life, as well as some animated short films.

In order to have more contact with his fans, Rogers opened a lounge in Nashville in 2015 . He called it "The Soda Parlor" and offered some video games and desserts .

In 2016, he created a pilot episode that later became the animation series Final Space . It is about the astronaut Gary Goodspeed , who is held captive in a spaceship, and his sidekick , a small green planet-destroying alien named Mooncake, both of which are spoken by Rogers in the English version. A first season of 10 episodes aired on TBS from February 26 to May 7, 2018 . The series was later released on Netflix as well . The second season aired on the cable channel Adult Swim from June 24 to September 23, 2019 . A third season has already been announced by Adult Swim and is dated 2021.

On March 26, 2019, his YouTube channel reached one million subscribers.
