Kōji Yamase ( Japanese 山 瀬 功 治 , Yamase Kōji ; born September 22, 1981 in Sapporo ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

society

Kōji Yamase started his career as a footballer in 2000 with the Japanese first division club Consadole Sapporo from his hometown. After two successful years and nine goals in 59 games, the midfielder moved to the top club Urawa Red Diamonds . In the seasons 2003 and 2004, however, he could not earn a regular place, although he scored eleven goals. In 2005 Yamase moved to league rivals Yokohama F. Marinos , where he had his strongest time so far. At the end of 2011 he made 137 top division appearances and scored 32 goals. In 2011 he signed a contract with league rivals Kawasaki Frontale . With the club from Kawasaki he played 51 times in the first division. Kyōto Sanga , a second division team from Kyōto , took him under contract for three years from 2013. The first division relegated Avispa Fukuoka took him under contract from 2017. For the club from Fukuoka he was 71 times in the second division on the field. League competitor Ehime FC from Matsuyama signed him from 2020.

National team

Since 2006 Yamase has been playing for the Japanese national soccer team. His record is excellent with five goals in eight games for a midfielder.
