Hara learned to play football on the university team at Komazawa University . He signed his first contract with Shimizu S-Pulse in 2007 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2008 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . In 2010 he reached the final of the Kaiser Cup . For the club he completed 62 first division games. In 2011 he moved to league competitor Urawa Reds . In 2011 he reached the final of the J.League Cup.
