Rui Komatsu ( Japanese 小松 塁 Komatsu Rui ; born August 29, 1983 in Kochi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Komatsu learned to play football on the university team at Kansei Gakuin University . He signed his first contract with Cerezo Osaka in 200 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In October 2006 he was loaned to the V-Varen Nagasaki . In 2007 he returned to the second division club Cerezo Osaka. In 2009 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club, he completed 146 league games. In 2012 he moved to league rivals Kawasaki Frontale . For the club, he completed 12 top division games. In 2013 he moved to league competitor Ōita Trinita . For the club, he completed five first division games. In July 2013 he moved to the second division club V-Varen Nagasaki. For the club he completed 42 league games. In 2015 he moved to league rivals Giravanz Kitakyushu . At the end of the 2016 season, the club was relegated to the J3 League . For the club he completed 88 league games. At the end of 2017 he ended his career as a football player.
