The J2 League 2015 was the seventeenth season of the second division of the second division of the Japanese J.League and the first under the name J2 League . 22 clubs took part in it. The season started on March 5th and ended on November 23rd, 2015.
Master was Ōmiya Ardija , the other climbers were Júbilo Iwata and promotion playoff winner Avispa Fukuoka . Relegation losers Ōita Trinita and Tochigi SC were relegated to the J3 League .
mode
The clubs played a double round tournament ; thus there were a total of 42 games per team. There were three points for a win and one point for a draw. The table was created according to the following criteria:
- Number of points scored
- Goal difference
- Goals scored
- Results of the games among themselves
- Decision game or coin toss
The two clubs with the most points rose directly to the J1 League 2016 at the end of the season .
The third climber was determined by a tournament in the knockout system over two rounds between the teams in places 3 to 6. Here the third played against the sixth, the fourth competed against the fifth. The higher ranked team enjoyed home rights. In the event of a tie after 90 minutes, the better-ranked club advanced one round. The final took place in the Yanmar Stadium Nagai due to the construction work around the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo , the winner was promoted to Division 1.
The bottom of the table was relegated directly to the J3 League 2016 , the bottom of the table played in two relegation games against the runner-up of the J3 League 2015 to stay in class.
Attendees
A total of 22 teams took part in the season. At the end of the 2014 season , Master Shonan left Bellmare after only one year for the J1 League. Shonan was accompanied by runner-up Matsumoto Yamaga FC and promotion playoff winner Montedio Yamagata , who beat JEF United Ichihara Chiba and Júbilo Iwata . Matsumoto and Montedio came into the league together three years ago - Matsumoto as a promoted player from the Japan Football League , Montedio as a relegated player from J.League Division 1 - and now turned their backs on it together.
The three promoted teams were replaced by the three relegated teams from J.League Division 1 2014 , Ōmiya Ardija , Cerezo Osaka and Tokushima Vortis . While Tokushima returned to J2 after only one year in Division 1, Cerezo ended with five and Ōmiya with ten years of significantly longer memberships in the House of Lords.
At the bottom of the table, bottom of the table Kataller Toyama said goodbye to the J3 League after six years of J2. The team from central Honshu has been replaced by the 2014 J3 League champion , Zweigen Kanazawa . Kamatamare Sanuki was penultimate in the relegation against AC Nagano Parceiro ; after a goalless draw in Nagano, a narrow 1-0 win in the second leg was enough to keep them up.

final
The final was given in the summer due to the construction-related unavailability of the national stadium in Osaka in the Yanmar Stadium Nagai . This led to the unusual fact that Cerezo Osaka played a home game, although they were listed as an away team by the regulations. After a goalless first half, the “guests” took the lead after an hour with a goal from Keiji Tamada . Avispa then increased the pressure and shortly before the end came through Hokuto Nakamura to the well-deserved compensation, which was synonymous with promotion due to the mode.
