Career
Motegi learned to play football in the youth team at Vegalta Sendai . He signed his first contract with Vegalta Sendai in 2015. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club, he completed eleven first division games. In July 2015 he was loaned to the second division side Kanazawa branches . For the club, he completed eleven league games. In 2016 he returned to Vegalta Sendai. For the club he completed 16 first division games. In June 2018 he moved to the second division Mito HollyHock . For the club he completed 52 league games. In 2020 he moved to league rivals FC Ryūkyū .
