Shōhei Yamamoto ( Japanese 山 本 翔 平 Yamamoto Shōhei ; born August 29, 1982 in Kyoto Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Yamamoto learned to play football in the youth team of Kyoto Purple Sanga . He signed his first contract in 200 with the Kyoto Purple Sanga . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . In 2002 he moved to league competitor Mito HollyHock . For the club he completed 27 league games. In 2004 he moved to the third division ALO's Hokuriku . For the club he completed 76 league games. In 2007 he moved to league competitor Rosso Kumamoto (today: Roasso Kumamoto). In 2007 he was runner-up with the club in the Japan Football League and rose to the J2 League. For the club he completed 84 league games. In 2010 he moved to third division V-Varen Nagasaki . In 2012 he was with the club champion of the Japan Football League. For the club he completed 53 league games. In 2013 he moved to league competitor Kamatamare Sanuki . In 2013 he was runner-up with the club in the Japan Football League and was promoted to the J2 League. For the club he completed 140 league games. He then played with the Ococias Kyoto AC . At the end of 2018 he ended his career as a football player.
