Masaya Okugawa ( Japanese 奥川 雅 也 , Okugawa Masaya ; born April 14, 1996 in Kōka ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
Okigawa began his career at Kyōto Sanga . In March 2015 he played for the first time for the J.League U-22 Selection in the J3 League . For the J.League U-22 Selection, he completed a total of four games. In May 2015 he finally made his debut for Sanga in the J2 League , when he came on as a substitute for Takumi Miyayoshi on matchday 12 of the 2015 season against FC Gifu in the 59th minute . He scored his first goal in June 2015 in a 2-2 draw against Ōita Trinita .
After five appearances for Sanga, he moved to Austria for FC Red Bull Salzburg in June 2015 . In Salzburg, however, he should initially be used for the second-rate farm team FC Liefering . In August 2015 he made his debut against Kapfenberger SV for Liefering in the second division . He scored his first goal in the same month in a 2-1 win against SC Austria Lustenau . In his first season with Liefering he came to 30 missions in which he scored three goals.
In the 2016/17 season, he played 34 second division games in which he scored five goals. For the 2017/18 season he was awarded to the Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg . He played his first game in the Bundesliga in August 2017 in a 3-2 defeat against SK Sturm Graz . In November 2017 he scored his first goal in the Bundesliga in a 3-1 win against FK Austria Wien . For Mattersburg he completed 27 Bundesliga games that season, in which he scored five goals.
After the loan ended, he returned to Salzburg for the 2018/19 season and moved up to the FC Red Bull Salzburg squad. However, it was awarded a second time in August 2018, this time to Germany to the second division Holstein Kiel . For Kiel he played 19 games in the 2nd Bundesliga , in which he scored five goals.
He returned to Salzburg for the 2019/20 season. In July 2019 he finally played his first game for Salzburg in the ÖFB Cup against SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 . His first game for Salzburg in the Bundesliga followed that same month in a 2-0 win against SK Rapid Wien , in which he scored the goal for the final score.
