Majeed Ashimeru (born October 10, 1997 ) is a Ghanaian soccer player .

Career

society

Ashimeru began his career in the West African Football Academy . In 2015 he played for the first time for WAFA in the Premier League . In the 2016 season, however, he was only used five times in the highest Ghanaian league.

In August 2017 he moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club FC Red Bull Salzburg , with whom he received a contract that was valid until June 2021. However, he was awarded directly as a cooperation player to the second division club SC Austria Lustenau .

In January 2018 he was awarded to the Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC . He played his first game in the Bundesliga in February 2018 when he was in the starting line-up against SCR Altach on matchday 21 of the 2017/18 season. He scored his first goal for Wolfsberg the following day in a 1-0 win against SK Sturm Graz .

For the season 2018/19 he was in the Switzerland at the FC St. Gallen awarded. He made his Super League debut in July 2018 when he started against FC Basel on the first matchday of that season . In a 3-2 win against FC Zurich in October 2018, he scored his first goal in the top Swiss division.

After the loan ended, he returned to Salzburg for the 2019/20 season.

National team

Ashimeru made his debut for the Ghanaian national team in May 2017 when he started the friendly against Benin and was replaced by Isaac Twum in the 59th minute .
