Dominik Szoboszlai (born October 25, 2000 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian football player . He is under contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg and is a Hungarian national player .
Career
society
Szoboszlai started playing football in the youth department of Videoton FC and moved to the youth department of MTK Budapest FC in 2015 . After a year in the Hungarian capital, he returned to Videoton in 2016. In March 2017 he came to Austria to join the FC Red Bull Salzburg academy . For the 2017/18 season he was promoted to the FC Liefering squad . He made his debut for the second division team in July 2017, when he started on the first match day of that season in a 2-1 win against Kapfenberger SV , before being substituted for Mahamadou Dembélé in the 72nd minute . He scored his first goal on August 4, 2017 in a 3-2 win in the away game against FC Blau-Weiß Linz with the goal to make it 3-1 in the 66th minute.
In January 2018 he received a contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg, which was valid until May 2021, and which he extended early in March 2019 to May 31, 2022. In May 2018 he made his debut for Salzburg in the Bundesliga when he came on as a substitute for Enock Mwepu in the 57th minute against FK Austria Wien on matchday 36 . He scored his first goal for Salzburg in September 2018 in a 6-0 win in the ÖFB Cup against SC Schwaz .
National team
Szoboszlai played for the U-17 national team for the first time in 2016 , when he played against Italy on December 14, 2016, and scored the 2-0 goal in the 24th minute in the game that Hungary won 2-1 . In the same year he also made his debut for the U-19 team . In May 2017, he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time .
On September 1, 2017, he made his debut for the U-21 national team , which beat Germany 2-1 in Paderborn . In the A selection, he was in the starting line-up for his first appearance, the 2-1 win over vice world champions Croatia in qualifying for the Euro 2020 on March 24, 2019.
