Chukwubuike Junior Adamu (born June 6, 2001 in Kano ) is an Austrian football player of Nigerian origin.
Career
society
Adamu started his career at GSV Wacker . In January 2014 he switched to the youth of the Grazer AK . For the 2015/16 season he came to the academy of FC Red Bull Salzburg . In September 2017, he was against WSG Wattens for the first time in the squad of the farm team FC Liefering , but was not used.
In the same month he made his debut for the Salzburg U-19 team in the UEFA Youth League when he came on for Nicolas Meister against Girondins Bordeaux in the 87th minute .
In November 2018 Adamu finally played for Liefering in the 2nd division for the first time when he was brought into play on the 13th matchday of the 2018/19 season against Wattens in the 88th minute for Karim Adeyemi .
In July 2019, his contract with Salzburg was extended to May 2023. For the 2020/21 season, he moved up to the squad of the Bundesliga team.
National team
Adamu made his debut for the Austrian U-18 team in a friendly against Switzerland in October 2018 . In November 2019, he played for the U-19 team for the first time against Gibraltar . In the game that Austria won 14-0, he also scored his first goal for an Austrian selection. He also scored one goal each in the following games against Switzerland and Ireland.
