Makoto Kitano ( Japanese 北野 誠 Kitano Makoto ; born July 17, 1967 in Kagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kitano learned to play soccer on the school team at Teikyo High School . He signed his first contract with Hitachi in 1986 . For the club, he completed 62 league games. In 1992 he moved to league rivals Kyoto Shiko (Kyoto Purple Sanga). For the club he completed 33 league games. At the end of 1994 he ended his career as a football player.

In 2009, Kitano became the trainer of Roasso Kumamoto . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . In 2010 he moved to Kamatamare Sanuki . In 2013 he was runner-up with the club in the Japan Football League and was promoted to the J2 League. In 2019 he moved to league rivals FC Gifu .
