Yōhei Fukumoto ( Japanese 福 元 洋 平 , Fukumoto Yōhei ; born April 12, 1987 in Ōita Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Fukumoto learned to play football in the youth team of Ōita Trinita . He signed his first contract with Ōita Trinita in 2005. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club he completed 32 first division games. In 2008 he moved to league rivals Gamba Osaka . In 2008 he won the AFC Champions League with the club . In 2009 he moved to league rivals JEF United Chiba . At the end of the 2009 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . For the club he completed 38 games.
