Kōki Kotegawa ( Japanese 小 手 川 宏基 , Kotegawa Kōki ; born September 12, 1989 in Ōita , Ōita prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kōki Kotegawa learned to play football in the youth team of Ōita Trinita . Here he signed his first professional contract in 2008. The club from Ōita , a port city in the prefecture of Ōita on the Japanese island of Kyūshū , played in the first Japanese league, the J1 League . In his first year, he won the J. League Cup with the club . In the final they won 2-0 against Shimizu S-Pulse . In 2009 he had to go to the second class with Ōita. At the end of 2012, the club rose again to the top division. After the rise, he left Ōita and joined Giravanz Kitakyushu . With the club from Kitakyushu , which was relegated to the third division at the end of 2016, he played 166 times in the second division. After relegation, his former club Ōita Trinita took him back under contract. In 2018 he became runner-up in the second division with Ōita and rose again to the first division.
