Yūji Takahashi ( Japanese 高橋 祐 治 , Takahashi Yūji ; born April 11, 1993 in Ōtsu , Shiga Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Yūji Takahashi learned to play football in the youth team of Kyōto Sanga . Here he also signed his first professional contract in 2012. The club from Kyōto , a city in the southwest of the Japanese main island Honshū , played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . From August 2012 to January 2013 he was loaned to Brisbane Roar . With the Australian club from Brisbane he played four times in the first division, the A-League . In January 2013 he returned to Kyoto. In 2014 he played eleven times in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. The 2015 season was loaned to the second division Kamatamare Sanuki . For the club from Takamatsu , he completed 32 second division games. In 2018 he signed a contract with the first division club Sagan Tosu in Tosu . By the end of 2019, he played 59 times in the first division. After two years he left Tosu and moved to the first division promoted Kashiwa Reysol in Kashiwa .
