Kengo Kitazume ( Japanese 北 爪 健 吾 , Kitazume Kengo ; born April 30, 1992 in Gunma Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kengo Kitazume learned to play football in the school team of Maebashi Ikuei High School and in the university team of Senshū University . He signed his first professional contract in 2015 with JEF United Ichihara Chiba . The club from Ichihara , a city in Chiba Prefecture , played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . By the end of 2017 he was on the field 50 times for JEF. In 2018 he moved to league rivals Yokohama FC in Yokohama on a free transfer . With Yokohama he was runner-up in the league in 2019 and rose to the first division. After promotion and 76 second division games for Yokohama, he joined the first division Kashiwa Reysol from Kashiwa in 2020 .
