Masahiro Koga ( Japanese 古 賀 正 紘 , Koga Masahiro ; born September 8, 1978 in Ōkawa ) is a Japanese football player .

career

Masahiro Koga began playing football during elementary school where he played for the Ōkawa Sports Shōnendan club, then in the Ōkawa Middle School team and then moved to the Fukuoka East High School (Higashi-Fukuoka), which has produced a large number of professional footballers. After graduating from school, he was signed by first division club Nagoya Grampus Eight in 1997 , where he stayed until 2006. In 2007 he moved to Kashiwa Reysol , 2010 to Júbilo Iwata and 2012 to the second division Avispa Fukuoka where he played until 2015.

With the U-17 youth team , he qualified for the 1995 World Junior Cup and with the U-20 team for the 1997 World Junior Cup , where he scored one or two goals. He was also a member of the U-23 Olympic selection for the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney , where he was used in seven games.
