Makoto Sunakawa ( Japanese 砂 川 誠 , Sunakawa Makoto ; born August 10, 1977 in Chiba Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Sunakawa learned to play soccer on the school team at Funabashi High School . He signed his first contract with Kashiwa Reysol in 1996 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1999 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club, he completed 70 first division games. In 2003 he moved to the second division Consadole Sapporo . In 2007 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. At the end of the 2008 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. At the end of the 2011 season, the club rose to the J1 League. At the end of the 2012 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. For the club he completed 415 games. In 2015 he moved to league rivals FC Gifu . For the club he completed 10 games. At the end of 2015, he ended his career as a football player.
