Akihiko Takeshige ( Japanese 竹 重 安希彦 , Takeshige Akihiko ; born August 21, 1987 in Yamaguchi Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
Akihiko Takeshige learned to play football in the university team of Hannan University . He signed his first professional contract with Júbilo Iwata in 2010 . The club from Iwata , a city in Shizuoka Prefecture , played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . In 2013 he was loaned to the league rivals Albirex Niigata in Niigata . After the end of his contract in Iwata, he moved to the second division team Tochigi SC in 2015 . At the end of 2015, the club from Utsunomiya had to relegate to the third division. In 2016 and 2017 he was runner-up in the J3 League with the club . In 2019 he joined the second division club Yokohama FC . At the end of 2019 he celebrated the runner-up in the J2 League with the club from Yokohama and rose to the first division.
