Career

Ōkubo learned to play soccer on the school team at Teikyo High School . He signed his first contract with Yokohama FC in 2008 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . For the club he completed 40 league games. In 2011 he moved to league rivals JEF United Chiba . In 2014 he moved to league rivals V-Varen Nagasaki . For the club, he completed 96 league games. In 2017 he moved to the first division club FC Tokyo . For the club, he completed 10 first division games. In 2019 he moved to league competitor Sagan Tosu . For the club, he completed 10 first division games.
