Yūki Uekusa ( Japanese 植草 裕 樹 Uekusa Yūki ; born July 2, 1982 in Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Uekusa learned to play football in the university team of Waseda University . He signed his first contract with Kawasaki Frontale in 2005 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2009 he moved to league competitor Montedio Yamagata . For the club he completed 18 first division games. In 2012 he moved to league competitor Vissel Kobe . At the end of the 2012 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2013 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and rose again to the J1 League. In August 2014 he moved to the second division club V-Varen Nagasaki . For the club he completed 23 league games. In July 2016, he moved to league competitor Shimizu S-Pulse . In 2016 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club he completed 15 league games. At the end of 2018 he ended his career as a football player.
