Yoshiaki Komai ( Japanese 駒 井 善 成 , Komai Yoshiaki ; born June 6, 1992 in Kyoto , Kyoto Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Yoshiaki Komai learned to play football in the youth team of Kyōto Sanga . Here he also signed his first professional contract in 2011. The club from Kyōto , a city in the southwest of the Japanese main island of Honshū , played in the second Japanese league, the J2 League . By the end of 2015, he played 171 second division games for Kyoto. In 2016, the first division club Urawa Red Diamonds from Saitama signed him. In the first year he was runner-up with Urawa in the J1 League and was in the final of the J. League Cup . In the final, which was won on penalties against Gamba Osaka , he was not used. The following year the club won the AFC Champions League . Here they defeated al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia in two finals . Again, he was not in the squad. The 2018 season he was loaned to the league competitor Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo from Sapporo . After the loan ended, he was signed by Sapporo in early 2019. With Sapporo he was in the final of the J. League Cup in 2019. The final was lost to Kawasaki Frontale on penalties.
