Hideyuki Akai ( Japanese 赤 井 秀 行 Akai Hideyuki ; born May 2, 1985 in Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Akai learned to play football on the university team at Ryūtsū Keizai University . He signed his first contract with Tochigi SC in 2008 . The club played in the third highest division in the country, the Japan Football League . In 2008 he was runner-up with the club in the Japan Football League and rose to the J2 League . At the end of the 2015 season, the club was relegated to the J3 League . In July 2016, he moved to league rivals SC Sagamihara .
