Alex Antônio de Melo Santos (born April 26, 1983 in Diamantina ) is a Brazilian soccer player.

Career

League games

The 1.72 meter tall Alex started his career in 2002 with the Kawasaki Frontale club after spending his youth in Brazil with Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte and not playing on the professional team. After one season he went to the Avispa Fukuoka club for five years . Alex's contract was not extended retrospectively and so he moved back to Kashiwa Reysol in 2008 . In the following two years he was active at the JEF United Ichihara Chiba association. There he took part in 22 goalless games in 2009 and in 2010 he played 33 games, where he scored seven times. For 2010 and 2011 he was active with the club Kashima Antlers , where he played 30 games and scored five goals in the previous year. In the later year he was no longer as active as in the previous year and only took part in five games, where he did not have a goal in the end. The reason for the low number was that he was on loan from the Tokushima Vortis club , where he was active for the rest of 2012. After the year was over, he played 14 games and scored three times. He has not been on loan at the club since 2013, he was able to sign a permanent contract there.

Imperial Cup

As usual in Japan , he took part in games of the Imperial Cup in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2011 and is explained in more detail in this section. In his first year at the Kawasaki Frontale club , he played three games in which he scored two goals. After moving to the Avispa Fukuoka club , he was still represented with the club at the Kaiser Cup . From his active five years he worked for three years. In his first year he was involved in three games, he could not score a goal. In 2004 and 2007 he played two games, each of which scored one goal. In the three years at the club he was able to participate in seven games and score two goals. The highest number in which he was allowed to play in the highest Japanese class was in 2008 at the club Kashiwa Reysol , where he stood five times on the lawn, all of which are goalless. After moving to the badly ailing club JEF United Ichihara Chiba , where he played a goalless game in the first year, he could no longer participate in the second. In 2011 he played two games in the Kaiser Cup at the Kashima Antlers club , but they remained goalless. His last year at the Kaiser Cup was in 2012, where he played two games at the Tokushima Vortis club , where he scored one goal.
