Daiki Iwamasa ( Japanese 岩 政 大樹 ; Iwamasa Daiki ; born January 30, 1982 in Suō-Ōshima ) is a Japanese former football player .

Career

Iwamasa played in the youth for the school team of the Iwakuni high school and for the Gakugei University of Tokyo . Afterwards, the trained math teacher had the opportunity to go to FC Tokyo , but he opted for the Kashima Antlers , for which the defender made his debut the following year. In the first year Iwamasa scored four goals in 18 games and became a regular player. In the years 2007 to 2009, the tall, athletic and strong header Iwamasa, who is also a specialist in free kicks, won the J. League championship with the Kashima Antlers and was voted into the best team of the season.

Daiki Iwamasa was appointed to the Japanese national team for the first time in 2008 and made her debut on October 10, 2009 in the international match against Scotland. He was in the Japanese squad at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , where Japan advanced to the round of 16, but he himself was not used.
