Masahiro Wada ( Japanese 和田 昌裕 , Wada Masahiro ; born January 21, 1965 in Hyōgo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player and coach.

Career

Wada learned to play soccer on the school team at Mikage High School and the university team at Juntendo University . He signed his first contract with Matsushita Electric in 1987 . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League Division 2. In 1987/88 he was runner-up in Division 2 with the club and was promoted to Division 1. In 1990 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . With the founding of the professional league J.League in 1992 and the associated reorganization of Japanese football, Matsushita Electric became Gamba Osaka . For the club he completed 152 games. In 1995 he moved to the second division Vissel Kobe . In 1996 he was runner-up with the club in the Japan Football League and rose to the J1 League . For the club he completed 46 games. At the end of 1998 he ended his career as a football player.
