Ryō Kobayashi ( Japanese 小林 亮 Kobayashi Ryō ; born September 12, 1982 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kobayashi learned to play football on the school team at Bunan High School and the university team at Komazawa University . He signed his first contract with Kashiwa Reysol in 2005 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 2005 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2006 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League. For the club, he completed 74 league games. In 2008 he moved to league rivals Ōita Trinita . In 2008 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club he completed 18 first division games. In 2009 he moved to league competitor Montedio Yamagata .
