Masashi Wakasa ( Japanese 若 狭 大志 , Wakasa Masashi ; born July 24, 1989 in Saitama , Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Masashi Wakasa learned to play football in the university team of Tōyō University . He signed his first professional contract with Ōita Trinita in 2012 . The club from Ōita , a port city in the prefecture of Ōita on the Japanese island of Kyūshū , played in the second highest Japanese league, the J2 League . At the end of 2012, he rose to the first division with the club. After only one year in the J1 League , he had to return to the second division at the end of 2013. After two years in the second division, he was relegated to the third division at the end of 2015. After relegation, he left the club and joined the second division team JEF United Ichihara Chiba from Ichihara . He signed a two-year contract with JEF. After 32 second division games, he moved to league rivals Tokyo Verdy in 2018 .
