Kenta Shimizu ( Japanese 清水 健 太 Shimizu Kenta ; born September 18, 1981 in Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Shimizu learned to play football on the school team at Matsudo High School . He signed his first contract in 2000 with the Kashiwa Reysol . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club, he completed five first division games. In 2005 he moved to the second division Montedio Yamagata . In 2008 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League. At the end of the 2011 season, the club was relegated back to the J2 League. For the club he completed 287 league games. In 2015 he moved to league competitor Kamatamare Sanuki . At the end of the 2018 season, the club was relegated to the J3 League .
