Yūya Kubo ( Japanese 久保 裕 也 , Kubo Yūya ; born December 24, 1993 in Yamaguchi , Yamaguchi Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

society

Kubo moved in 2013 from Kyōto Sanga to the Swiss first division club BSC Young Boys . He made his Super League debut on July 13, 2013 against FC Sion .

After a total of three and a half years in Bern, the Japanese international moved to KAA Gent in the Belgian division 1A in January 2017 for two million euros .

The Belgians awarded him to 1. FC Nürnberg for the 2018/19 Bundesliga season . He scored his first and only Bundesliga goal for Nuremberg in a 1-1 draw against FC Schalke 04 on April 12, 2019, the 29th matchday.

National team

In the national team of Japan he has so far made 13 international matches (2 goals). He made his debut on November 11, 2016 in the friendly against Oman (4-0) in Kashima , when he came on for Hiroshi Kiyotake in the 71st minute .
