Przemysław Tytoń [ pʂɛˈmɨswaf ˈtɨtɔɲ ] (born January 4, 1987 in Zamość ) is a Polish football player in the goalkeeping position who has been under contract with FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer since January 2019 .
Career
societies
Tytoń started playing football with Hetman Zamość . He began his professional career with Górnik Łęczna in the Polish Ekstraklasa . In two seasons he completed 20 first division games for Górnik Łęczna. In 2007 he was signed by the Dutch first division club Roda Kerkrade . For the first three and a half years he was a substitute goalkeeper behind Belgian Bram Castro . It was not until the second half of the 2009/10 season that he managed to oust Castro and has remained the goalkeeper since then. In March 2011 he suffered a shoulder injury in training camp with the national team, due to which he was out the rest of the 2010/11 season and was replaced by his young compatriot Mateusz Prus and in two games by Collin van Eijk .
In August 2011, Tytoń moved to league rivals PSV Eindhoven on loan after the first two match days when he was still active for Roda JC Kerkrade . At first he was just a substitute behind Andreas Isaksson , before the opponent had to accept ten goals in two consecutive games and coach Fred Rutten decided for him from the beginning of March. In the final ten league games and in the cup final, he was in goal. There the team, now managed by Phillip Cocu , won the title with a 3-0 win over Heracles Almelo .
In the summer of 2012 he was permanently signed by PSV Eindhoven. After he lost his regular place in goal and only played six league games in the 2013/14 season , he was awarded to the Spanish first division club FC Elche for the 2014/15 season .
For the season 2015/16 changed Tytoń for VfB Stuttgart , for whom he (1st Round) in the 1 August 16, 2015: 3 defeat at home to the 1. FC Cologne in the Bundesliga debut. After a 2: 6 away defeat against Werder Bremen on matchday 32, Tytoń was replaced in goal in the last two games of the season by his competitor Mitchell Langerak , who was seriously injured in the pre-season. In the 2016/17 season , Tytoń moved to Deportivo La Coruña , where he played until the summer of 2018.

National team
On May 29, 2010, Tytoń made his senior national team debut in a goalless draw in the international test match against Finland . Since the Polish national coach Franciszek Smuda had not committed to a "number 1" goal for a long time, Tytoń fought with goalkeeper Artur Boruc , Tomasz Kuszczak , Łukasz Fabiański or Sebastian Przyrowski for the position of the goalkeeper.
