Jürgen Leonardo Locadia (born November 7, 1993 in Emmen , Netherlands ) is a Dutch football player . The center-forward is a former Dutch youth international and is on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion to MLS - Franchise FC Cincinnati .
Career
society
Locadia was trained at PSV Eindhoven and has been a permanent member of the professional squad since the 2012/13 season . He made his Eredivisie debut on September 30, 2012 against VVV-Venlo . In 176 cross-competition games, the striker scored 62 goals and was twice champion with the team, once cup winners and twice won the national Supercup. Locadia played 25 times for the second team Jong PSV and was able to record 22 goals.
In January 2018, the Dutchman moved to the English first division club Brighton & Hove Albion . The transfer fee paid was a record transfer for Brighton and is said to have been £ 14 million, according to press reports .
In the summer of 2019, Locadia switched to the Bundesliga for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on loan for one season . The Dutchman played eleven Bundesliga games (four goals, one assist) and one game in the DFB Cup for TSG , but was unable to prevail against rivals Sargis Adamyan and Ihlas Bebou . At the end of January 2020, the loan deal was prematurely terminated and Locadia returned to England.
With no further activity for Brighton, Locadia was on loan to the MLS - FC Cincinnati franchise until July 5, 2020 .
National team
Locadia was used for various Dutch youth national teams. In November 2015, bond coach Danny Blind nominated the attacker for the A-selection for the first time , but Locadia has not yet been used.
