Arata Sugiyama ( Japanese 杉山 新 Sugiyama Arata ; born July 25, 1980 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Sugiyama learned to play football in the youth team of Kashiwa Reysol . He signed his first contract in 1999 with Kashiwa Reysol. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1999 he won the J.League Cup with the club . For the club he played six games. In 2003 he moved to the second division Ventforet Kofu . At the end of the 2005 season, the club rose to the J1 League. At the end of the 2007 season, the club rose again from the J2 League . For the club he completed 217 games. In 2010 he moved to the first division club Omiya Ardija . For the club, he completed 42 first division games. In 2012 he moved to the second division Yokohama FC . For the club he completed 27 games. In 2013 he moved to league rivals FC Gifu . For the club he completed 41 games. At the end of 2014, he ended his career as a football player.
