Masaru Katō ( Japanese 加藤 大 , Katō Masaru ; born May 7, 1991 in Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Masaru Kato learned to play football in the youth team of Mitsubishi Yowa . He signed his first contract with Albirex Niigata in 2010 . The club from Niigata , a city in the Niigata prefecture of the same name on Honshū , the main island of Japan , played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . From February 2012 to January 2014 he was loaned to Ehime FC . With the club from Matsuyama he played in the second division, the J2 League. He scored eleven goals in 61 second division games. The second division Avispa Fukuoka loaned him from July 2019 to January 2020. This was followed by a loan to V-Varen Nagasaki, who also played in the second division, to Nagasaki .
