Michitaka Akimoto ( Japanese 秋 本 倫 孝 , Akimoto Michitaka ; born September 24, 1982 in Shizuoka , Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Michitaka Akimoto learned to play football at the Shimizu Commercial High School and then at Hōsei University . He signed his first contract in 2005 with Ventforet Kofu , a club that played in the second division, the J2 League , and is based in Kofu . In 2005, the club took third place and rose to the J1 League . After 151 games he left the club and went to the second division Kyōto Sanga in Kyōto in 2011 . Here he played 80 games and scored six goals. In 2014 he moved to league competitor Kataller Toyama . After finishing 22nd in the second division in 2014, the club was relegated to the third division, the J3 League . In 2015 Michitaka Akimoto moved to Thailand . Here he signed a contract with second division Thai Honda Ladkrabang FC , a club based in the capital Bangkok . In 2016 Thai Honda rose to the first division, the Thai Premier League . After the end of the 2017 season, when the club finished in 16th place, the club had to return to the second division. At the beginning of 2019 he left Thailand and returned to his home country Japan and joined third division team Fujieda MYFC .
