Central Bank Gold Agreement

The Central Bank Gold Agreements I - III are international agreements between the central banks of a number of nations with the aim of stabilizing the value of gold reserves .

CBGA III

The signatories of the third Central Bank Gold Agreement (CBGA III) with effect from September 27, 2009 are:

  1. Belgian National Bank
  2. German Bundesbank
  3. Irish Central Bank
  4. Bank of Greece
  5. Bank of Spain
  6. Bank of France
  7. Italian Central Bank
  8. Central Bank of Cyprus
  9. Central Bank of Luxembourg
  10. Bank Ċentrali ta 'Malta
  11. Central Bank of the Netherlands
  12. National Bank of Austria
  13. Banco de Portugal
  14. Bank of Slovenia
  15. National Bank of Slovakia
  16. Suomen Pankki - Finlands Bank
  17. Swedish Reichsbank
  18. Swiss National Bank

The signatories committed themselves in the CBGA III not to sell more than 400 tons of gold per year. The total 5 year sales volume of the signatories will not exceed 2,000 t.
