Central Bank Gold Agreement
The Central Bank Gold Agreements I - III are international agreements between the central banks of a number of nations with the aim of stabilizing the value of gold reserves .
CBGA III
The signatories of the third Central Bank Gold Agreement (CBGA III) with effect from September 27, 2009 are:
- Belgian National Bank
- German Bundesbank
- Irish Central Bank
- Bank of Greece
- Bank of Spain
- Bank of France
- Italian Central Bank
- Central Bank of Cyprus
- Central Bank of Luxembourg
- Bank Ċentrali ta 'Malta
- Central Bank of the Netherlands
- National Bank of Austria
- Banco de Portugal
- Bank of Slovenia
- National Bank of Slovakia
- Suomen Pankki - Finlands Bank
- Swedish Reichsbank
- Swiss National Bank
The signatories committed themselves in the CBGA III not to sell more than 400 tons of gold per year. The total 5 year sales volume of the signatories will not exceed 2,000 t.
