Cepelos is a place and a former municipality in northwestern Portugal .
Cepelos belongs to the city and county of Amarante in the district of Porto . The community had an area of 3.7 km² and 1757 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Cepelos, Madalena , Gatão and Amarante (São Gonçalo) were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Amarante (São Gonçalo), Madalena, Cepelos e Gatão .
