Solon Bixler
Solon Ben Bixler (born January 4, 1977 in Fresno , California ) is an American indie rock singer and guitarist .
life and career
He also plays the instruments bass guitar , piano , keyboards , synthesizers , drums and percussion . He was guitarist for the bands Thirty Seconds to Mars and Earlimart . He is currently the singer and guitarist in the band Great Northern. He grew up in a very musical family. His parents and uncle had a band called The Wild Blue Yonder . Solon began playing drums at the age of four.
In 2001 he played guitar with Thirty Seconds to Mars . He left the band in 2003 due to problems during the tour. Solon then played in the bands All Smiles , Earlimart and Sea Wolf . Then he founded his band Great Northern with Rachel Stolte . Davey Latter plays bass and Ashley Dzerigian plays drums. In 2007 their first album Trading Twilight for Daylight came out.
