The Ceres Nunatakkers are a group of three Nunatakkern in the south of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . They rise east of the base of the Shostakovich Peninsula .
The British Directorate of Overseas Surveys mapped them in cooperation with the United States Geological Survey using satellite images provided by NASA . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on December 20, 1974 after the dwarf planet Ceres , the largest object in the asteroid belt .
