The Cerro Kaweshkar is a hill on the Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises north of the Paso Estrecho near the west bank of Cape Shirreff at the northern end of the John Paul II peninsula .
Scientists of the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) named it after the Kawesqar people from southern Chile .
