The Cerro Pudú is a hill on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises east of the headland Punta Poblete on the west side of Cape Shirreff at the northern end of the John Paul II peninsula .
Scientists of the 39th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1984–1985) named it after the South Pudu ( Pudu puda ), the smallest species of deer in the world.
