Cesta změny
Cesta změny ( CZ ) ( Path of Change ) was a small Czech liberal political party . The chairman of the party was Jiří Lobkowicz , its secretary Josef Brož .
history
The party emerged at the end of 2001 from the midst of the Děkujeme, odejděte (thank you, step back) movement. Even before the founding, there were disputes within the party, which led to the resignation of Monika Pajerová and her supporters. They founded the Naděje (Hope) party.
On May 3, 2009 , the party decided to dissolve.
elections
In the House of Representatives election in June 2002, the party received 0.27% of the vote. In the Senate election in autumn 2002, Martin Mejstřík was elected in the constituency of Prague 1 , who ran for the party as a non-party. In the Czech Republic the party is still represented in 5 municipalities.
In the first elections to the European Parliament in June 2004, the party presented a joint list of candidates with the Unie svobody - Demokratická unie , Liberální reformní strana and ODA under the name Unie liberálních domokratů (Union of Liberal Democrats, UPD). The UPD received 1.69% of the vote, not enough for a seat in the European Parliament.
In the Senate election in November 2004 , the CZ put two candidates who could not prevail. The party also supported several independent applicants, including Karel Schwarzenberg , who was the only one of the supported candidates to enter the Senate.
International connections
CZ was a member of the European Democratic Party (EDP) founded in 2004 .
