Cetim

The place Cetim is a desert in what is now the Mecklenburg Lake District in southern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Traditional

Cetim was first mentioned in 1257 and was located near Schwarz (Mecklenburg) . The last tradition of the place name, as Cethim , dates back to 1288. The period and the reasons for the abandonment of the village are not known.

location

The Zethner See , located two kilometers south of Schwarz, has a modification of the place name Cetim (probably as Zethen ) in its name . It is therefore likely that this place was located near the shore of the Zethner See.

Place name

The place name has a Slavic origin and denotes a family or clan name.
