Ch'ti is a Bière de garde from the commune of Bénifontaine , near Lens , in the Pas-de-Calais department . It was developed in 1979. There are different types: Blonde, Ambrée , Triple, Bière de noël ("Christmas beer"), Jade and Bière de Printemps ("spring beer").

Ch'ti blonde received a silver medal at the 2007 Salon de l'Agriculture.

The beers are made in Brasserie Castelain , a family business owned by Nicolas Castelain. He has succeeded Annick et Yves Castelain.

When the film Willkommen bei den Sch'tis was released in 2007 , the brewery equipped the film with props, such as old beer crates, advertising signs and old posters. The film made the beer brand better known and the large French retailers took the beer into their range.
