Chad Omweg (born March 10, 1978 ) is an American skeleton athlete .

Chad Omweg made his international debut in November 2000 as part of the Skeleton America's Cup in Calgary , where he was eleventh in two consecutive races. Until the end of 2002 it was used in this racing series on an irregular basis. The best result was a fifth place in December 2001 in Lake Placid . The first major event was the 2003 North American Skeleton Championship in Park City . Omweg showed his best performance in an international race and won the silver medal behind Zach Lund and before Nathan Cicoria . In the same place he managed a week later in the America's Cup behind Brian McDonald another second place. In 2003 there were two more races in the European Skeleton Cup , and in 2004 a few more races at national level. Then the American ended his career. For the 2010/11 season Omweg returned to the sport of skeleton, but could not stand out in the national qualification. There followed only two appearances during the season, one in the America's Cup with a ninth place in Park City and in Altenberg with a 19th place in the European Cup .
