Chale Island is an island in the Indian Ocean , about ten kilometers south of the seaside resort of Diani Beach and 600 meters from mainland Kenya. The island is 1.2 kilometers long and 800 meters wide, partially covered by a mangrove jungle and is privately owned. There is a hotel.
The nearest airport is in Mombasa ( Moi International Airport ) and is just under 100 kilometers away.
